HARDING ENERGY INTRODUCES WORLD CHARGER KIT
WITH FOUR QUEST® 2000 mAh AA PLATINUM
RECHARGEABLE NiMH BATTERIES

Kit includes most common adapters for recharging almost
anywhere in the world

NORTON SHORES, MI - September 21, 2004 - Designed for people on the go who want a rechargeable portable energy supply anywhere their travels take them - Europe, England, Australia and more. Harding Energy's Quest® World Charger Kit includes the Quest® World Charger, four Quest® Platinum 2000 mAh AA nickel metal hydride (NiMH) rechargeable batteries, two free Quest® 700 mAh AAA rechargeable NiMH batteries, a Euro adapter, an Australian adapter and a U.K. adapter, all for a highly competitive MSRP of just $19.98.

"Today people travel all over the world with portable electronic devices such as PDA's, games, MP3 players and digital cameras," said Steve Morgan, Director of Marketing and Sales, Harding Energy, Inc. "The Quest® World Charger Kit ensures that they will have a ready supply of freshly charged batteries for their high-demand, high-drain portable products, giving the products more power, more consistently and more economically."

Quest® NiMH batteries are fully rechargeable, memory-free batteries that last four times as long between charges as other types of rechargeable batteries.

Quest® NiMH batteries deliver more power over a longer period of time, allowing digital camera users can take up to twice as many pictures on a single charge of Quest® batteries, when compared with a single charge of nickel cadmium (NiCAD), and up to ten times as many pictures when compared with alkaline batteries. In addition, Quest® batteries are environmentally friendly, containing no toxic metals such as cadmium, mercury, lead or lithium.

Quest World Charger Features

The Quest® World Charger is capable of charging pairs of AA and/or AAA cells at the same time. The charger signals with an indicator light for each pair of batteries to inform the user when charging begins. The batteries can be left on charge for several days without incident. The Quest® World Charger keeps batteries cool throughout the charging process.

Features include:

  • Plugs directly into the wall (no annoying cords). Flip up/down plug blades allow for easy packing and travel.
  • 120V and 240V AC input. UL and CUL certified.
  • Clear cover so you can see what batteries are being charged.
  • Reverse polarity protection to prevent the user from putting the batteries into the charger upside down.
  • Includes most common adapters. Adapters attach to the back of the charger (U.S. plug blades are in the up position) and lock into the charger. This feature allows the charger to fit closely against the wall outlet. Other common charging devices with adapters may stick out as much as three to four inches from the wall and need to be propped up.
  • Overnight deep continuous charge.
  • One-year warranty on charger and batteries.
  • Packaging in English and French

Pricing

The Quest® World Charger Kit suggested retail price is $19.98 with four Platinum 2000 mAh rechargeable NiMH batteries and two free 700 mAh NiMH batteries. Additional Quest® 2000 mAh Platinum batteries are available for a suggested retail price of $12.95 for a package of four.
